Launch your dream art vacation from Burlington Vermont, on the west coast of New England, a bustling international port city sure to delight any creative mind.  This cruise experience is hosted by Sean Callahan, renowned Vermont watercolor artist and Gallery owner.

Discover the diverse waters of Lake Champlain and the Otter Creek as you fulfill your passion for watercolor painting.  In the afternoon, we make our way up the Otter Creek.  Acquaint yourself with the yacht and meet us on the sky deck of the Moonlight Lady where Sean will introduce the materials with which you will be working.  During the fun afternoon session he will lead the group through the basics of watercolor washes, a good refresher even for the experienced artist.  Discuss the afternoon lesson and enjoy a refreshing beverage as the distinctive setting of the Otter Creek glides past. 

At night, the yacht will dock at the falls in Vergennes, the oldest city in Vermont.  Enjoy the rich history of this quaint New England town.  Savor a delicious dinner made from local provisions artfully created before your eyes in our sky-deck culinary theater.  After dinner, enter into the town of Vergennes Vermont where Sean will invite you in to his studio and gallery, Dog Tired Studio.  Dessert and beverages will await you in his gallery.  See where this amazing painter finds his inspiration.

Morning arrives as the waters of Lake Champlain beckon us back downstream.  The Moonlight Lady arrives at the legendary Basin Harbor Resort in the morning. The exquisite grounds of this lake-side sanctuary will welcome you in.  This morning, Sean will lead a lesson on monochromatic painting.  Using one color you will focus on still life subject matter. 
Enjoy a delightful lunch back aboard the boat as it cruises to Crown Point, New York, the home of the Samuel de Champlain Lighthouse.  Along the way, the workshop will resume on the sky deck of the yacht focusing on developing the morning’s still life experiment, now using color.  In the afternoon as we approach Westport, NY, Sean will lead a critique of the day’s work and discussion of the lesson.  Delight in the historic town of Westport, where we will dock for the night. 

Take enjoyment in a savory three course dinner on board the yacht.  Afterward enjoy a drink with the locals at one of the delightful lakeside lounges on-shore.  Bask in the calm of an evening in the Adirondacks.

Enjoy the unspoiled scenery and simple hospitality of the Adirondacks.  On the morning of the third day Sean will dive into a detailed instruction about painting from a photograph.  Each participant will be provided with a photograph and Sean will instruct on the basics of using a grid system to paint from two dimensions.  In the afternoon, the Moonlight Lady will journey up the New York coast line to Valcour Island, where you are free to use your new-found techniques on the beautiful landscapes in this particularly majestic portion of Lake Champlain.  Savor a wonderful dinner as you bask in the camaraderie of your fellow artists.

The final morning is relaxed and laid back.  You will have the opportunity to enjoy breakfast and prepare for disembarkation at 10:15am in Burlington, Vermont.
