Morning arrives and the waters of Lake Champlain beckon us back downstream. The Moonlight Lady arrives at the legendary Basin Harbor resort in the morning. Appreciate the flexibility of a yacht vacation as you choose your morning activities. Experience the rich history of the region at the Lake Champlain Maritime Museum. Engage yourself on a guided bird tour at The Basin Harbor Club or bicycle along the lovely country roads surrounding the resort. Enjoy a delightful lunch back aboard the boat as it cruises to Crown Point, New York, the proud home of the Samuel de Champlain lighthouse. Delight in the quaint town of Westport, New York as we dock for the night. Enjoy a drink with the locals at the Westport Marina. Take in a show at the Depot Theater, a professional theater housed in a restored 19th century train station. Bask in the calm of an evening in the Adirondacks.

As daylight breaks, the charm of Westport comes to life. Enjoy a round of golf at The Westport Country Club. At 106 years old this parklands course is considered the finest conditioned course in the Adirondacks. Observe a stained glass artisan at work in his shop. Acquire a few antique books and memorable photographs as you meander through town. Enjoy the unspoiled scenery and simple hospitality of the Adirondacks. In the afternoon we journey up the New York coast line to Valcour Island, the site of the first naval battle fought by the United States Navy, in Oct. 1776. Savor a wonderful local dinner as you bask in the camaraderie of your shipmates.
