Ausable Chasm Adirondack Adventures
For private charter groups, we offer access to Ausable Chasm, the oldest natural wonder theme park in the United States. Located in the Adirondacks, with private transportation from Port Henry, New York. Decend hundreds of feet onto the natural stone walkways and gaze upon the millenniums of natural geologic history etched in the stone. Hop on a raft or inner tube and float down the Ausable River through a maze of rock formations, sculpted throughout the ages.
Wander along the well maintained, self-guided walking trails where one breath-taking view after another awaits. Interpretive signage describes the natural flora, fauna, wildlife and geologic history of the chasm along its many scenic vistas.
An experienced guide will navigate your raft between the towering cliffs of the “Grand Flume” and past the “Broken Needle”. Your group will enjoy the cruise through the rapids of “Whirlpool Basin”. This exciting adventure is not to be missed.
This tour is a team-building exercise focused on learning about the wildlife, plant-life, and the environment around us. We’ll explore a natural area to find specific birds or plants, answer questions about relationships between different parts of the ecosystem, learn interesting or amazing facts about Vermont’s natural world, and discover the sights and sounds around us. Partners will be able to explore together or individually, from canoes/kayaks and on foot. We will find out which team has the best observational skills and worked best together to discover the most about the natural world around us. The winners will win a great nature tour prize package.
For the leisure life, hop into an inner tube and float down the Ausable River at your own pace. Our trolley bus will pick you up at the end.
